Rimini, located on the Adriatic coast in the region Emilia-Romagna, is a city of 142,116 habitants in northern Italy.
Rimini is the largest and most populated centers of the Adriatic Riviera, and together with two other cities of its province, Riccione and Cattolica, it is one of the most popular Italian seaside tourism. Rimini was founded by the Romans in 268 BC, and was a city used as a key communication link between the north and south of the peninsula; on its territory the Roman emperors built monuments such as the Arch of Augustus and Tiberius Bridge. The historic growth continued during the Renaissance Period, during the period of Malatesta, the city hosted artists such as Leonardo Da Vinci and produced works such as the Malatesta Temple.
In recent years, Rimini has become one of the most important trade fairs and conferences in Italian.
